Great school. My daughters are receiving excellent education in a nurturing and loving environment. It is a great community. We are a non catholic family and have always felt welcome. My daughters have flourished here. Reinforce the importance of character development and community service. Great principal and staff. You cannot put a price tag on learning what is truly important in life!
As an alumni, I can attest that Holy Cross school was the best academic institution I'd ever been too. I went for a total of 10 years, and the more I switched high schools the more I realized how great everything had been back at Holy Cross. would like to mention Senora Heinneman, who's excellent Spanish program not only made me virtually fluent in 3 years, but made it possible for me to study in Spain my freshman year of high school.
Holy Cross School is the best investment you can make as a parent. Not only do children from Holy Cross excell academically, but they also develop a strong moral foundation to build on throughout their lives. The sports programs are great too, and often start in 4th grade/5th grade. These no cut programs allow all children to get involved in their school, and develop confidence and good sportsmanship. I would recommend Holy Cross to Catholics as well as to non Catholics.
Holy Cross is a wonderful school that provides a safe, loving environment for my 3 kids. I know we pay high taxes for really good public schools here in Deerfield, but the faith based, caring community of Holy Cross builds strong character in addition to strong academics, for a more holistic child. It's the best investment we've made as parents.
Holy Cross is a great school. It's a school with a great sense of community that stresses academics and the character of every student. For the 2011-12 school year, the students have adopted the Golden Rule (Treat others as one would like others to treat oneself) as their theme. I can't think of a better one for our kids to commit themselves to everyday.
Holy Cross is a fabulous school, and with the wonderful new principal this year, there is an even more energized feel to the school. The academics are very strong, and I am consistently amazed at my son's progress. The teachers are dedicated and friendly and welcome feedback from the parents. Holy Cross provides an environment that fosters academic growth but also moral growth. I truly like the person my son is becoming and I know Holy Cross has played a role in shaping him into a very caring and considerate young man. I know District 109 has good schools, but I have never once doubted my decision to send my son to Holy Cross! I am excited for my younger children to start at Holy Cross in the coming years. It is the best investment I have made for their academic and spiritual growth!!
Holy Cross is a great school.Students excel academically while developing as good, caring human beings. It does a great job in maximizing the potential of kids in mind, spirit, and citizenship. Not always the easiest thing to do on the North Shore.
Small class sizes, dedicated teachers, caring professionals. All these things make Holy Cross School a wonderful educational environment for children pre-K through 8th grade. The Catholic based education reinforces values the children learn at home and which our society sorely needs. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, take care of those less fortunate, respect yourself and others (peers and adults alike). My two children thrived here and the community at Holy Cross is a welcoming and supportive one.
Great school. Excellent teachers! Gospel based eduation teaches students to treat others as they would like to be treated. Academics are strong and children do well in high school recently produced three area high school valedictorians.
Save your money and give your children the eduaction they deserve - send them to the excellent public schools. I wish I could say something nice about this school but declining enrollment and dismal staff say it all.
