This school is a waste of money. Teachers are more worried about uniforms than academic performance, and the religion classes are a joke.

We moved from out of state. My sons have enjoyed the no cut sports programs, primarily football, and we have met many welcoming families. The academics cater to my range of children and they actually had to play catch up from our last school.

We love St. Joseph School! Our oldest is currently in 1st, and is doing great with his reading and writing, as well as his religious studies (knows many prayers by heart and attends a weekly Mass during school hours). He participates in art and music classes, and visits the school library with his class. While we are very confident that our son is receiving a wonderful academic and religion education at St. Joseph, what is also very important to us is the community. We have met so many wonderful families through the school, and everyone is so involved in the activities the school offers. We're really thrilled that our family is a part of St. Joseph School. I recommend it highly to all!

One visit to St. Joseph school and you feel like you are home. The faith based community and curriculum is amazing! Students are proud to say they attend St. Joe's. The teacher and staff dedication is impressive. Our principal is a true steward of Christ.

We have been at St. Joseph's School since our HS sophomore was in Kindergarten and have three more children currently enrolled. All schools will have those teachers that excel and some that are less than perfect and St. Joe's is no different. Yet 56% of our sophomore sons St. Joe's graduating class made honor roll as high school freshman! As well the opportunity for music, art, no-cut sports, public speaking, liturgical involvement and most importantly spiritual enrichment have exceeded our expectations. The sense of community at St. Joe's is palpable from regular opportunities for parents to engage with their child's classroom (our kids love to see us at school), to well attended school functions for parents and children alike. Even our HS sophomore goes back to St. Joe's to volunteer whenever he can. St. Joseph's School has proved to be a gift to our entire family.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
