We LOVE St. Mary's School. The teachers are amazing, the parish/priest are amazing, and the administration/principal are amazing. We are relocating soon, and are SO sad to be leaving the school.

We drive from another district to bring our kids to St. Mary's. We are impressed with the low teacher to student ratio, the staff credentials and the outstanding principal. My child has special needs and the staff has gone out of the way to be welcoming to our family. I would recommend this school highly.

I can see the previous review was a few years old, but having tried this school around the same time (and heard of many others who have had the same difficulties before and since then) I find it extremely hard to believe that the teachers here helped the previous reviewers child with ADHD. Unless you are white toast like the others this school does not have the time, patience, resources, or desire to help you. Children with disabilites are constantly berated and misunderstood by teachers, unless of course you are a BIG donor to the school - then those children can get away with anything. I would strongly advise against attending this school if you have ANY special needs.

Both of my children attended St. Mary's from K - 8th grade. The teachers were excellent and work hard with my son who is ADDHD. Everyone of them help him feel special and accepted the suggestions given to them to help him overcome his disability. St. Mary's is a small school with a student ratio of 17:1. All of the teachers are certified and they have both a music/band teacher and a P.E. teacher. Last year a resource teacher was added to help those children who need that little extra one on one help. I would reccommend this school to anyone moving into the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
