I need to disagree with this parent's review of the principal. The new principal is Brilliant! She has really brought this school around this year and maybe the reason the teachers feel she treats them unfairly is that many of the teachers slack off. The children are doing the bare minimum of work and AGREE, they are behind the public schools academically. This new principal will force these teachers to step up and do the job they are paid for.

This school has a wonderful 2nd grade teacher, but I removed my kids after realizing that St. Mary is way behind the local school district in academics. My child came out of 6th grade just doing long division and my 3rd grader had never seen simple division. I spent the first quarter of this public school year catching my kids up where they were supposed to be academically. This school boasts higher test score which is false...the children are behind academically and no one seems to care.

St. Mary's has very good teachers for k,1st,2nd, and 4th. My son's 3rd grade teacher said he was doing fine but he wasn't come to find out he is 2 yrs behind in math. The new principal doesn't reach out to parents doesn't listen to you or answers any of your questions all you get is I'm aware of the problem but does nothing about it paying way to much money for kids to go there and have some teachers who shouldn't be teaching and a principal that doesn't seem to care they do have a few teachers that are very helpful and involved in the kids and their parents

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
