We evaluated several different schools before choosing FRCDS. The beautiful campus impressed us immediately. Once we met the teachers and learned more about the academic programs, we were convinced this was the school for our children. We love how the teachers really get to know their students and customize the learning experience to each child. And we love how they emphasize values, empathy and critical thinking skills in the classroom. The school's mission really meshes with the way we parent and our goals of raising our children to be happy, responsible, socially aware citizens of the world.

The decision to send our daughters to FRCDS is the best decision we have ever made. We drive 35-40 minutes each way to get our children to school, and it is worth every minute. We have the option to send our kids to a good public school, but once we saw this hidden gem of a campus we knew that we had to send our kids there! The school is incredible. The emphasis is on educating the 'whole' child, academically, creatively, ethically and spiritually. We will be sending our children to FRCDS until they complete 8th grade. I can't say enough about this school!

Our daughter has blossomed in the three years she's been at FRCDS. The teachers are dedicated and excellent and have a knack for bringing out the best in each child. We love the school's dedication to character building qualities. We have seen tremendous growth in our daughter as a result. It is a wonderful community. We have fallen in love with the school and plan to be a FRCDS family for many years to come.

I am so fortunate to have found Fox River Country Day School for my children. It is such a unique and beautiful school. l don't know of any other school that offers a hands on environmental program, art, foreign language, computers, music, swimming, sports plus a challenging academic program. I also appreciate the fun and creative after care program offered by the school that varies each year and has included horseback riding, piano, and chess. Some other things that make it special include the annual musical and holiday shows, which includes all of the children. My children have developed a love of the outdoors from hiking in the school's 53 acres of woods, swinging on vines, climbing on logs, and sledding in the winter and the school's strong environmental program. In addition, the school's character building program is outstanding, the class sizes are small, and the teachers and staff truly care about the children. I like the diversity of the students as the school also has an international boarding school, which exposes the children to other children from around the world. Finally, I appreciate that the school is innovative and recognizes each student as an individual. The school is exceptional for dozens of reasons and my children are blossoming there.

I am quite enamored with everything there is at Fox River Country Day School. Safety is my number one interest. The care and immediacy of help in all things is very comforting. Every adult knows every child on campus by name. The grades mix and interact with each other through book buddies, swim-a-thons, MS serving lunch to PS, or stewarding a younger class during an environmental outing in the woods. The campus naturalists know their stuff. There are many endangered plants on the 53 acres. The school and parents are building a natural playground in the woods. It's an environment second to none. The teachers are amazing. They can reach the interest and level of every child. There is a balance of strong academic skill work with hands-on problem solving activity that builds critical thinking. My child is only in first grade and he speaks up in assembly without hesitation.

We are so happy with Fox River Country Day School. I can't imagine a better environment for our daughter. The campus is large and beautiful. The kids often go on hikes, as part of the environmental education program. During the winter, the children often go sledding. There is an indoor pool on campus, and swimming lessons are part of the curriculum. The faculty are experienced educators who really care about the kids. I love the philosophy of the school--educating the whole child (academic excellence along with character development) in a homelike environment. We live in the western section of Hoffman Estates, so the school is only a 10-minute drive from our home. But, many families drive a significant distance, because it is such a great school!

Our family love this school. My daughter has been attending Kindergarten and will continue into first grade. My son will start preschool next fall. The school has a beautiful new elementary building on a wonderful campus with old oak trees. I know my child is being truly watched over and educated to be the best that she can be in every way. They also offer many extra activities from music, art, swimming, Spanish, environmental ed, library, and more. She loves to go to school and we could not be happier with our decision to send her to Fox River Country Day School.

This has go to be one of the finest private schools in the Chicagoland area. It is a hidden gem. You might not know it is there, but once you find it, you'll be thrilled! Where else can you find a school that includes ceramics, swimming, and environmental education? Students get to be outside in a safe environment, learning about the beautiful tress on this campus. THey have teachers who care about them. My daughter has been here for 3 years and is so happy!

This is one of the most unique and charming schools in the Chicago suburbs. It is on 53 beautiful wooded acres and designed like a small college campus. The PS and lower grades are in a new building. The school emphasizes 12 character building values, including honesty, reliability, gratitude, respect, and charity, in addition to a challenging and creative academic program. The teachers and adminstration are nurturing and really care about the children. Also, includes sports, swimmming, art, music, Spanish, environmental education (the school has a naturalist on staff) and other excurriculars, such as piano, horseback riding and ceramics. The kids are challenged academically and to be better people and make a difference in the world. My child is happy and has developed self confidence and poise. There is an international boarding school in addition to the day school so the kids are exposed to children from around the world.
