HCA is a GREAT school! I would recommend this school to any parent or child looking for a good Christian, family, accepting atmosphere. My daughter previously attended public school in Kindergarten and first grade. In those 2 yrs the big focus for those student's was popularity at such a young age. 30 students to a room. 90% spent on discipline. At HCA my daughter and I receive a reinforced foundation of our Christian faith. Smaller class sizes for more one on one care. A genuine care for student's and parents. The new Creative Arts program is well accepted by student's. This gives an opportunity for each student to select classes of interest that opens an inner talent for each one to expand on. A talent they never thought they had the opportunity to express. HCA is also a diverse school with students and parents from all backgrounds and cultures but yet with so much love! HCA is a school guided by God!

I cannot begin to explain what a true Godsend Highland Christian Academy has been for our family. Our journey with HCA began when my son was turning five years old and I wanted him in full-day Kindergarten rather than the 2.5 hours a day in a public school setting. The teachers and staff are beyond amazing and the small class sizes really allow for a lot of one-on-one time for the students. My son is learning in a Christian setting, but above all, he is having so much fun that it doesn t even feel like learning. Not only does he love being at school, love his classmates, love his teachers, and love learning he is THRIVING, both academically (straight A report card for the past 2 years) and spiritually (he loves talking about how good God is). Highland Christian Academy is definitely the right fit for us, and it wouldn t be possible without the financial scholarships that are offered to families to help offset the cost. I appreciate everything that the staff at HCA has done for both myself and my son. He is excelling in all areas and I couldn't be happier.

We have 2 kids in HCA and coudn't be happier. They are testing a year ahead (or more) of their grade level and they are growing in their faith. But what sets HCA apart is that every child feels included and loved. Every color and economic situation is represented. My kids didn't feel like they fit in and didn't want to go to school before and now they love it and feel welcomed and loved. We also didn't think we could afford it but HCA worked with us to make it possible (69% of kids on scholarship) . We are very thankful for the school.

Small christian school that really feels like a 'Family'. My kids are a full year ahead of public schools academicly, and their spiritual walk has grown tremendously since transferring in. We are so blessed to have found this school, wish we would have came here first before spending so many years at the other, larger christian school up the block. What a difference being in a smaller school makes on a child's spiritual life. Learning to serve the Lord, pray and journal each day, and give back to the community are just as important as academics. Thank you HCA for what you are teaching our children. There is no price you can put on what they are learning here!

A great Christian structure with wonderful teachers who truly care for each student's individual needs and success. I can not say enough about the faculty and the outstanding education my son has received there.

Due to an increase in my work hours, I had to stop homeschooling and start looking for a school. HCA had everything I was looking for and more. From the curriculum, ABEKA (which is what I used as a homeschooler) to the small class sizes to the all Christian faculty. I thank the Lord everyday for HCA.

My son has been going to this school for three years. It has been a blessing for him and us. I am most thank-ful for the foundation that he is building and the friends that he is making. The staff and teachers are excellent. I like the fact that the school encourages good work/school habits. This will carry my son far in school. Check this school out! You will like what you see.

Wonderful, small Christian school. Progressive A Bekka Curriculum, A++ teachers, and a super-charged young Pastor. Small class size = more teacher time! Many Willow families are here too! Check it out before you register anywhere else! A refreshing return to our own youth/school days! Great Library and computer lab too!

We began searching for a school when our oldest daughter was 2. We looked at other Christian schools in the area, Catholic schools, and other 'private' schools. We immediatley felt a sense of 'Home' when we walked into Highland Christian Academy. It was like stepping back in time to our own childhood, yet it had all the modern day advances, like a computer lab & cool library with bean bag chairs. There is a great teacher to student ratio, my daughter had 11 kids in her Kindergarten class and was reading by Christmas of Kindergarten! We have 3 of our children in school here now, the oldest in 6th Grade. This year they will go serve at a Christian Workcamp, and 7th/8th graders go on a Missions Trip! I am excited to see my children learn to love and serve the Lord at an early age here. Come see it!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
