Elwood school has had my three children in it for over 16 yrs, they know all my kids by name and everything about them. They are very good teachers and faculty and my favorite teacher is mrs. Rompala , she makes sure the kids pass there consitution tests every single year by teaching them so well

Elwood is a wonderful school. The teachers and the administration work very hard to provide our students with the best. I have worked closely with the principal and he is a caring individual who has a lot or responsibilty. I know for a fact he supports his teachers and interacts daily with the students. The sad reality is that the parents don't support the school as well as they could. Unfortunately it is the same parents who do everything. The rest are just critical and complain.

The principal is not very active and does not do much with the students. There are a lot of good teachers there, but I don't think they are supported very well by the administration.

Our school is often praised by the surrounding High Schools for the quality of our students and their education. We have an art and music class, and a traveling music program. Thanks to our many parent volunteers we have many after school sports programs. For those nay sayers, we like every other school, have to deal with life challenges. The way we, as parents, deal with them makes the difference.

I have two children in this school and two that graduated. The older two were very well prepared for high school. All my children love the school and are treated well. It is small friendly school and a nice community to be part of

Great school, great people working in the school. It is very student focused, and the kids outperform most other students when they go to high school. Kids are very well prepared.

My daughter has attended this school since preschool; she is now in junior high elsewhere. I have never been happier. The bully problem at this school and people who play favoritism is unbelievable. It is sad really. The education which is received by the children is very poor also. You have to fight for your education at Elwood. You have to demand what is entitled to your children. If you choose to send your child here, good luck!

when I was young I used to go to this school. It is one of the best schools you could pick for your child. All the kids are very very friendly. Acedmics though it may not seem are great. When i went there I always had perfect grade and so did every one else in the class. Those teachers really got through to me. And none were left in the dark, everyone knew what was going on. Parents play a very big role in this school. and help anyway they can. If you were looking for a school in this area i would choose this school 100%
