Unity Christian School is one of the best private schools in Southern Illinois. I had two children who attended from there freshman through their senior years. They have high academic standards and encourage the students to excel. The teachers really care about the students. The teachers are certified. Both of my children graduated with high honors. My daughter graduated in May 2002 from Unity and went on to college. She graduated in May 2006 with a four year business degree. My son graduated in May 2006 from Unity and and is currently pursuing an electrical engineering degree. He scored a 30 on his ACT. So if you are looking for a school that stresses academic excellence as well as excellence in character, Unity may be a good choice for your child.

UCS is an incredible school with the most compassionate teachers. The education exceeds all expectations, both Christian and academics. Spanish is taught beginning in 1st grade and all kindergartners are reading when they graduate. We are in the process of joining a sports league that competes with public schools. Parent involvement is great and the children are respectable. Dress code: must wear a polo but this can be worn with jeans. You will not find better teachers, curriculum, or loving environment to raise your children in.
