We moved to Farmer City when our daughter was 5 and have been thrilled with the school system until this year. 4th grade has been a HORRIBLE year for her. Whatever you do, request NOT to have Mrs. Paullin. She does not communicate well with the parents OR students. The atmosphere in her room is negative and she does not provide a healthy learning environment. She has a few of her "favorites", but otherwise, most of the kids feel very picked on and talked down to. Schools shouldn't keep teachers just because they have tenure. Very disappointed with how this year has given my child a negative outlook on school because of ONE teacher. My rating for this year would be a one star. However, I would give Schneider and Mansfield a 4 out of 5 stars for kindergarten through 3rd grade.
