Flossmoor Montessori is a private school that is part of the AMI organization and is a great example of the montessori education experience. The directresses are all formally trained in the montessori philosophy and all are wonderful with the children. My three children love going to school. It's unfortunate that this school only goes through the fourth grade so we are left looking for another montessori experience for the latter grades. The staff and faculty do a great job of explaining the Montessori approach and how it differs from a traditional environment. If you are looking for a fulfilling educational experience for your child, this school should be on your 'to visit' list.
