M ychildren's school is family friendly as I notice the staff take time to get to know the families that attend. The school strives for academic excellence, keeping parents well informed of the ongoing activities for each month. The school is looking to improve its technology in each classroom, using promethean (smart) boards and has been funded by the Public School Fund Foundation and the wonderful PTO. Digital projectors are also being used and as technology is the wave of the future, this school is diving in but could use more financial assistance. The teachers work well as a team as a whole and at each grade level. Along with getting technology in each class, the school could use new playground equipment. The current playground equipment has not been replaced and some items there are from the 1970s (no joke!).
My grandson's school is cheerful...his teacher is very uplifting and positive and very likeable and his room is very inviting. He loves school (1st grade) and I hope he stays motivated. He loves to read!
teachers are amazing! daughter who is 5 and has ADHD every school she went to in iowa couldnt take the time to work with her. once she moved here she has learned ALOT and came farther in a month then the 2-3 months of school in iowa. she is back to loving school and her friends.
Good school. My daughter is in the multi-age classrooms, and has the capability to learn things at the third grade level when she was in first grade. This was something that I knew she would be able to handle - because she learns quick and seems to get bored. The teacher takes her time and teaches the children with much passion.
My children had excellent teachers and I think they received an excellent education while students here. They have a multiage program for children in grades 1-3 - the child keeps the same teacher for all three years ... resulting in the teacher knowing the student(s) very well, and the students become very supportive of one another. They have an excellent chorus for 3rd and 4th graders. Parents are very involved at this school.
