For those who don't know, Williamsburg Elementary is a brand-new K-5 school that took the place of Coultrap Elementary. Williamsburg Elem was completed in 2008. The new building is wonderful! Bright, clean, and modern, along with lots of TLC for happy kids and staff. Great teachers, great kids and involved families. Very strong academic, art and music and PE programs, computers/technology, fantastic accelerated program, also wonderful special needs programming. Principal Dr. Julie Dye - only female PhD Elementary School Principal in the District and we are happy to have her! Strong, welcoming and fun PTO, facilitating great events throughout the year such as field trips, author visits, family programming, after-school enrichment (kids' clubs), and so much more! I would highly recommend Williamsburg Elem. to anyone looking for a great school!
The principal is wonderful, the teachers go above and beyond to make learning fun,
I attended Coultrap from 1996-2002 and I was a high school helper for a third grade class this year. I cannot say enough about the quality of education that Coultrap provides. It's atmosphere is welcoming and parent, teacher, and staff relations are strong. The PTO is what makes Coultrap such a wonderful place to grow. As a student I gained so much from the A&E program led by Mrs. Potazcek. Overall, just a wonderful place for your child to learn.
Appears to have a very good parent participation. Appears to have a limited resource for specialized education.
Coultrap Elementary is an excellent school. The teaching staff, parents and PTO work together to ensure all students receive the best possible education. Coultrap Elementary works diligently to promote the kind of respect for others and active citizenship in the community which is so very important in today's society. This is a well rounded and positive educational facility which will include your children and nurture their academic and social growth.
Coultrap Elementary School is a caring community committed to excellence. The PTO is exceptional, and is comprised of a very broad cross-section of parents. A significant percentage (in fact, most) of the parents volunteer their time and talent in some capacity. The PTO works hard to promote enrichment opportunities to create the best possible educational environment for every child in the Coultrap family. Teachers work very closely with the parents to ensure an extremely cooperative approach to learning.
