I have 2 daughter who have gone through these schools. There is wonderful parent involvement, which in my opinion keeps the staff attentive to teh kids and their jobs. The teachers use ways to challenge kids who learn easily, and extra help is given when a child needs. Great Special Ed program, too.

I appreciate this school. The teachers are wonderful. They are very welcome to & encourage parent involvement. There are lots of opportunities to volunteer at the school or in the classroom. The teachers are first-rate.

Germantown Hills lives up to it's reputation as being one of the best school districts in Illinios. As a parent and substitute teacher in the district, I have a unique view from both the inside and outside. We moved into the district 2 years ago. My youngest child whom has special learning needs, has thrived under the leadership of the elementary principal, as well as the top-notch instruction from a loving, accepting teaching staff. Scholastic achievement and test scores are important, but that does not take precedence over the well-being of each and every student! I have found there to be few discipline problems because rule-breaking is not tolerated. Active parent involvement and PTO fundraising is also a key to the success of this district. It's not flawless, no school is! But families are flocking to Germantown so their kids can have top-notch education in a quality, family-oriented community. community.

Germantown Hills Elementary school is one of a great reputation. However, there is a lack of communication from school to parents, which leaves parents in the dark regarding what their child(ren) may be doing. This district, puts a great deal of emphasis on testing scores and less on behavioral issues within the walls/halls of the school. After attending this school for a year, we enrolled our children in private school.
