there is a reason why this school does so well in statewide test comparisons. they have a well researched, top notch curriculum with teachers that care deeply about their students.

I agree with the reviewer below who said the school lacks the ability to teach each child as an individual. Even with small class size, my children are not getting the attention they need to be reaching their potential. My two children were working well-above average before attending Ben Franklin. One of the kids who was doing above-average work has been flagged this year as needing extra help in reading but the choice was to either be placed in a low reading group where all of the students were performing way below him or being in the classroom, sitting waiting for help if he can't figure out a word. First and second graders, in a class of twenty kids to one teacher need some hand holding at times. Seems there are no extra hands to hold here. Very disappointed in our school and we moved to Glen Ellyn for the schools. We were totally scammed. Whoever wrote the review dated 9/18/2009 must be a real estate agent.

This school lacks the ability to teach each child as an individual. The teachers, administration and support staff all cite their lack of overcrowding as reasons for not being able to support the individual needs of each child.

Ben Franklin is touted as being one of the best in Glen Ellyn for good reason. Great teachers. Realtors use getting into Ben Franklin as a reason to buy property in that district!
