I really enjoyed all four years at Goreville High School. I came in as the "new kid" as I did not attend Goreville Elementary or Jr. High. However, I was accepted right away, and never really dealt with peer pressure or bad influences. The teachers enjoyed working with each student and would come in early or stay late if necessary. I loved the size of the school, the attention given to each student, and the positive atmosphere created by the teachers, students, and administrators.

To much focus on sports and a library that is very limited. There are some teachers that are there for a pay check and not a teacher by any stretch of the imagination. To many administrators for the size of the school. The lunch they serve my kids refuse to eat because it is either to greasy or cold. These are things that have been brought up to the administrators but are just not a priority to them. It good be a great school don't get me wrong, overall it's a great school with fantastic teachers. Administration needs to be more proactive about attacking things so it doesn't snowball.

The school doesn't keep up to date with books and class room materials(computers) very outdated. The administration is more concerned with the athletics and tends to allow bullying.

I loved this school. I moved to this school when I was in the third grade. All my friends were at this school. I wouldn't have went anywhere else. I liked being in a small school.
