On of the best teachers at brooks is Mrs. Daniels, she really cares about the students. She goes above and beyond to make sure we obtain an education. She is what holds Brooks together and without her we would be lost as students. She has helped me more than she will ever know. Many of us acknowledge extra things such as sports and music, but she has set the bar high when it comes to reading, and writting and providing a quality education for those in special needs program.

Brooks Middle School has its issues. School and home should be a partnership. Schools now are raising children with very little if any home support. Instead of looking for the negative, ask yourself...have I done all I can to support the school and its programs? Brooks Middle School is emerging , but it's going to take innovative ideas to move a community.

The discipline is horrible at this school. It is as if the students are running the school instead of the teachers. I know that they have tried to implement a number of new discipline programs, but it seems like nothing ever changes. Many of the teachers are very good and would do anything to make the students successful, but the inept administration at the school prevents these teachers from making positive changes. Despite these problems, many students are successful and get into good high schools. My daughter is in the band program and if it weren't for the band, I would transfer her to a different school. The band directors continuously have great bands with a high level of musicianship. They sound more like a high school group.

My daughter attends Brooks Middle School. She is a seventh grader. The teachers seem to be pretty good and most have concern for students academic performance. However I think they need more counseling. I would like to see some peer mediation. The band is excellent.

This school is really in desperate need of help. The teachers seem to be ok teachers but the behavior displayed by some of the children there is simply unexceptable and seems to be tolorated. The activities are very good. Excellent Basketball team, Superb Band program, and they even have a poetry club. If it was not for the toloration of poor behavior I believe test scores would be extremely high and I also believe this would be the best school in the state of Illinois. I am concerned for my child everyday and I can not wait for graduation.

I have a son that goes to brooks middle, and to be honest, this is one of the worst schools that he has attended. The teachers do not care about the students education. Most of them only seem to be there to get a check . My son will be transferring out of this school at the end of the year. I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. If you want your child to receive the education that he or she deserves, please send them to a school out of district 152.

I'm an 8th grader here and the school is great But the only problem might be that the teacheging is too great.Good Acadimics great sports.Basketball team has good couching from Mr.Holmes (Father & Son). The teachet help you learn teach you.Good field trips. But behavoir wise you better be a good student because the pricipal doesn't take it after seeing you over and over again. One of The greatest Band Instructors in Brooks Mr.Webber. Many electives from computer classes health, art, crafts and work, and Ind.Tech.They have parents meeting on what they should do to help their kids and their kids friend around the school to make it a better place for children. But that's about It it's more but I'm done.
