This school is filled with wonderful teachers who care deeply about their profession and their students. If only we could install a School Board with more vision, we might be able to retain those good teachers. I appreciate the dedication of the faculty there and I'm thrilled my son attends. I worry about this school's future, however, given the lack of support of the School Board.
This high school has a great small town feel. All of the teachers and adminstrators are always there to help all of their students succeed. Two of my children graduated from this school and were fully prepared for college because of the sound academic program this school offers and provides solid instruction with. I am sad to be leaving this area because the school was so great.
Highland has an excellent public school system. There is a high level of support from teachers, parents, and community. Upon graduation, students are well prepared for higher education and/or vocational path of their choosing. Very Important Principles program involves schools, families, and businesses in the moral upbringing of students by focusing on a particular theme each month(respect, citizenship, service, etc.) Highland is definitely a leader in education!
