The teachers are compassionate, kind, fun (as my daughter has told me), have a sense of humour and communicate with the parents quite well. Information on grades, homework and even lunch money credits are available online and are updated frequently. The staff is just great - whether you need to call into the office with a question or if you have to talk with a counsellor or the principal. They are friendly, informative and helpful in helping you make decisions for your child. I've had small issues here and there but they have always been addressed and resolved well. The school itself is clean and inviting. Families are always at events whether it is a sporting event (home or away), orientation, conferences or an assembly. Recently, the school started a program (Rachel's Challenge) to encourage the kids to be kind to one another. They held an after school assembly for the parents and children to attend and the gym was full of supportive students and their families. I was skeptical of the schools when I moved to this area and scrutinized every little thing at first. Johnsburg Junior High and District 12 have proved themselves to be very satisfactory.
the johnsburg jr. high school is the best shcool and they the the besyt teachers and a great learning ceanter
Johnsburg school is a great place all though it could be a little more sanitary but over all there are great teachers and wonderful extracurricular activities and they often encourage parent involvement
the areas areI think that the district is lacking in accelerated programs especially math. They are behind the other local districts, otherwise it is a nice close knit community, that may not be ready for the growth they are experiencing. Sports are good, band is great, and parents seem to care about what is going on. It seems like the new comers to the area is the ones that are a bit disappointed in the programs.
