I can't agree more with all reviews. This is truely a great school. When you walk in the doors, you feel it in the air. If you are shopping for a school - you must check St. Joe's out! We have been here 6 years starting in preschool, and never once did I think we made the wrong choice. There is deffinatly strong leadership and everyone is there for the children and their families.
Our children have finished their 2nd year at St. Joe's. We LOVE this school! We wish we started here instead of transferring them from another Catholic school on the east side. I highly recommend this school for those who want personal attention and an open door policy from a catholic school!
We are a new family to the Joliet. We interviewed several catholic schools, but we kept coming back to St. Joe's. The staff and principal made us feel welcomed, and didn't mind answering any questions we had. The first day of school was excellent! My children woke up to a sign in our yard from the school saying 'Welcome to Our Family, Have a great first day!' WOW! The principal meets the students everyday at carside and shakes their hand. The security and safety of the students are on high priority. The before & after school program is excellent. I can drop off my kids and they can have a decent breakfast for $1 or leave them after school where they receive a snack, do homework, work on community service projects and get exercise. I have been blown away by this tiny school. I surprised they are not filled to the rafters!
My children receive a quality education at St. Joseph School - both academically and spiritually. The traditions of the past blend wonderfully with the technology of the present. Students are prepared for the future in all areas of their lives. My children are active in sports, band, and in the ProLife Club. The PTO is active and is a great bunch of parents and teachers to be around. As a parent, I give St. Joe's an A+.
Quality, Quality, Quality! That is what this school is about. If you want your child to have an excellent education, don't hesitate one bit to send them to St. Joe's! My daughter loves it there! The class sizes are just right and the Principal knows every student by name! If you want a caring environment that stresses religious service and exceptional education, then St. Joseph is the school for you! There is mandatory parental involvement required, but no less than other Catholic schools in the area. Their annual Octoberfest carnival is a great party and requires parents to volunteer or pay a sum to the school for not working. Raffle tix must be sold or purchased, as well as the requirement to purchase two dinner dance tickets per year. They do offer before school and after school day care for us working parents.
I love St. Joseph School. My children attended as did I. The fact that their Slovenian heritage is not ignored is important to me.
St. Joseph School has a long and proud tradtion of quality Education. My children are the fourth generation of students from our famly attending there and I must say that due to the excellent teaching and support staff as well as a loving, nurturing and Catholic envoirnment, St. Joseph has more then prepared my children to attend the high school of their choice as well as participate in the Honors/Advance level of classes in high school and as productive citizens as well. The only improvement that can be made at St. Joseph is if there are rules for parents, staff and faculty to follow, ALL should follow the rules and not have the pastor and principal turn their heads away to cater to a particular family group just because they make the most noise and I would like to see more electives like a foreign language offered to students.
