This is a great school for your kids. The staff is kind and fair and the kids feel safe at this school. The ciriculum is very good and both of my children attending this school are thriving spiritually, ,mentally & getting a great education.

Trinity appears to have a stable program, focusing on Christian values and beliefs. Teachers seem dedicated and caring, devoted to service. The facility is inadequate, but they are looking toward building a new facility. I was impressed by the student body as well by there actions and attitudes.

Kankakee Trinity Academy is a rapidly growing, nondenominational Christian school based in Kankakee, Illinois. It's among the most affordable private programs in the area-- perhaps the most affordable. Not only does Principal Brad Prairie know each child personally, he generally knows what kind of a day each child is having! The word is spreading, and enrollment is growing. The school leases space from Open Bible Church and also from Emmanuel Baptist, but is not run by either church, but instead, by a board of directors. The faculty, staff and administration are willing to see each child as a unique person, of dignity and respect. Classes include Bible, and mandatory chapel. There is a basketball program, and the Eagle Ensemble, which performs and sings, often with original creative arrangements and drama. I love this school!

Two of my children went to KTA for two years. We've moved, or they would still be there. The teachers genuinely love and care about each child and do their best to help each child reach his or her potential. The programs put my children ahead of their peers academically. The atmosphere is family-like. There are enough extracurricular activities available. Parents are always welcome and many become friends with each other. Parent-teacher interaction is frequent and helpful. The principal has a heart for children both academically and spiritually. Even the custodians care about the children :-) This is the finest school for the small amount of tuition. My children and I still visit as often as possible, as we made many good friends at KTA.

My children, ages 8 and 15 absolutely love this school. This is their third year. They have attended another Christian school prior to this, but it does not compare to KTA. The attitude of the staff and administrators is very Christ-like and supportive. They are careful not to hurt the child's self-esteem when disciplining or giving special help in the classroom. Bullying and put-downs are absolutely not tolerated. The students share prayer requests and pray for each other. Academics are placed ahead of sports, even if that has to hurt the outcome of sports events. I have been personally involved with 6 Christian schools during my youth and as a parent. KTA is definitely the cream of the crop!

KTA has been such a blessing to our family. The staff and administration are wonderful. There is such a family feel to KTA and you can definately feel the prescence of the Lord. I wouldn't want to send my children anywhere else. God bless and keep up the great work.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
