LFCDS is outstanding, and our daughter have thrived in so many ways (academically, socially, developmentally, etc.) while being part of the middle school program! Teachers as well as the administration are highly insightful, knowledgeable, caring and communicative with students and their families ~ Highly Recommended A++++++++++

LFCDS is THE school of choice for those who value a family school built on a 125 year tradition of delivering inspiring academics, area leading arts and sports programs, and the preparation of a well rounded student who will be as ready as can be for excellence in secondary school and beyond. The curriculum is progressive, intentional and well crafted, designed to develop students of strong moral character. I believe this to be true because I base it on personal experience: my siblings and I were second generation students at LFCDS, and now my children are experiencing this storied academic institution, which has never been better. A brand new state of the art facility designed for learning, a dynamic and enthusiastic faculty, each teach taking a personal interest in each individual child, and a total program offering a challenging, diverse, values centered curriculum that is just not found anywhere else in the region these are the reasons our family enthusiastically supports and believes in the school.

As a parent of four LFCDS students whose father and other relatives also graduated from the school, we can proudly say that we believe that our family has reaped the benefits of excellence in education along with a foundation for life-long learning. With a strong sense of community among all who are involved in the school--students, parents, faculty and administration, there exists opportunity for outstanding education of the whole student. As we were privileged to be partners along the way in the education of our children, our investment proved exceedingly rewarding as we observed how well prepared our graduates were as they moved on to high school. LFCDS s fine reputation among leading preparatory schools across the nation was obvious as we witnessed how welcomed our students were as they submitted applications. Armed with their outstanding LFCDS education, our children have continued to thrive in both private and public institutions upon graduating from LFCDS.

We have three children at LFCDS and could not be more pleased with the school. It is a very caring environment where students are not only taught the highest quality academic curriculum but also taught the skills to be good leaders and people. In addition to academics, LFCDS allows students to pursue virtually any of their interests/talents - be it athletics, music, drama, robotics, oratory etc (the list goes on). I would not hesitate to recommend the school and I was a sceptic when out first child enrolled!

Top notch education is unparalleled in the area and the country. Everyone is welcoming and the parents association is very involved in creating a family atmosphere. New families are chaperoned by the Welcoming Committee with informal social events. Opportunities for volunteerinsm are unlimited to make and develop lifelong friendships. All of this would be for not without the teachers who foster and develop independent thought, creative expression, and citizenship. The average teacher has been with the school nearly ten years or more. This is a testament to the children, administrators, and family support. Families need not involve themselves in school activites, but involvement in their children's education is mandatory. The school is a palace for education and a haven for high ability learners.

Very close knit community favors children who have parents that are volunters, alumni,or strong in annual giving do not expect any help with children who have special needs without additional costs and tuition is already high for a grade school that is not surpassing results of public schools in the same area. The facilities are updated and the school looks better but...is it academically stronger?

An amazing school! We moved our children to Lake Forest solely to attend LFCDS. The curriculum is progressive and focuses on the individual child's level. The teachers are well educated, experienced, nurturing and the cream of the crop.

I have been very pleased by this school! All of the teachers are very nice to us kids. I love the food, and after school sports in which I do basketball and choir. All of my friends are very nice and the school is very safe.

We have been very pleased with this school. There is a good balance between academics and the nurturing of the child. The administration and teachers are warm and professional. The facilities have been completely rebuilt making it almost a brand new schhol. These improvements are very impressive and will give students a state-of-the-art facility. Parent involvement is encouraged, but not mandatory. I strongly recommend this school.

This is a top-notch school that offers the best education you could ask for! The students are taught according to the level they are on, and the teacher's are the best! They really care about the students with their whole heart. It is not just a job for them! they are educating the kids! The school offers music, art, drama, foreign language, P.E. Classes (every day), and science with a lab at the K-4 grade levels! The parents are very involved with the school functions. There are many opportunities to get involved at this school. It's an a+ school, and it's the school that every kid should attend. It's that good!
