Lake in the Hills Elementary School is a wonderful school! The principal and staff do an outstanding job. You can visibly see the emphasis on respect and it's workings. The staff works together for one common goal and, what steps need to be addressed to meet their goals. I have two daughters that attend LITH 's and have been very pleased with their education thus far. Their teachers were friendly as well as attentive. You can see the care and concern for each individual student. That is so important! Great school, great staff!
Love this school! It has the feel of a small school. The principal knows every student by name. They do a great job of communicating what is going on in the classroom. The PTC is outstanding. They do a lot for the school. Their efforts are to be applauded.
Most of the teachers 6-7 do not have very good teaching skills. I wish I never pulled my child out of private school.
This school is great. My daughter started Kindergarten mid way through the year and I'm already impressed. I'm not bogged down with 'homework' on a daily basis. At her other school her lazy teacher would send what amopunted to a days worth of class work everyday. It was ridiculous! LITH Elem sends home a little bit and it seems like thery are actually teaching the kids during class hours and not relying on me do do it at home. Thank You LITH Elem. I thought I was gonaa pull out what's left of my hair at the other school. CHEERS
The teachers are incredible. They go above and beyond to keep the parents informed on student progress and are very friendly.
This is a wonderful school with caring teachers and support staff. Our children have excelled in all the years that they spent at this school.
My children did very well at this school, we always had great teachers who were eager to let parents help out. Whenever there were concerns, the teachers addressed them quickly. We had a great experience at this school.
I have a daughter who just started kindergarten here and a daughter who will be graduating from 5th grade here. The teachers are wonderful and very helpful with your concerns. You can even email most of them, and they respond very quickly to you. The music programs for all ages are great. I have to disagree, there is a lot of parental involvement in the school. You can even sign up at registration to help out in whatever area you can. It has been a great school. My kids have really enjoy the teachers and the experience. They love going to school! I think that says it all. It is an older building, but that is not how a school should be judged.
We recently moved to the area last year. I really like this school, it is much better than the school we were at last year. They have an excellent reading program and the school really seems to care about the students.
My son has been with LITH Elementary for 3 years this year and I have been very pleased with the school staff and his academic progression. Though the class sizes have been large (this year much less, thank goodness), the teachers have really proven their professionalism and teaching expertise in hard times. Our principal is a wonderful person who I have recently commented to that I just love to hear her interact with the children. I have seen her in many situations where she has intervened or addressed a student/parent concern. She appears to me to be very involved. She, as well as the teachers, are so passionate about their classrooms and programs that I feel proud as a parent to be part of our school. Our school district is certainly struggling financially, as many are, but I truly believe that LITH has been able to maintain that community/family atmosphere.
I have been very disappointed in this school. The class size is very large and there is very little individualized attention. My child has been at this school for 2 years and I have found a great lack of communication. The faculty relies on the children to bring most information home, and at such a young age my child has not done well with this. Rarely is there any feedback on her progress or any problems she is having. She was having difficulty with bullies and the principal did very little to alleviate this problem when I brought it to her attention. I plan on sending her to another school that keeps the parents more involved.
This is a great school. However the class size is way too large. My daughter's class will have 33 students this year. How can one teacher handle so many kids at once?
