My children attend St. Matthews, I am very proud to say that. The staff is amazing, teacher truly care about the kids. We love it there. If you ever wanted a christian education for your child, this is the place.

I went to St. Matthew school. I later went on to Lake Zurich High School and was able to compete at all levels. So I had the athletic and academic base to compete with the kids from the public school. But I also had the incredible Christian base that I have used my whole life. These teachers are very good. The facilities are very good. Today I have had blessed with a great family and many gifts. It all started a St. Matthew.

My nephew that lives with me attends here. The school has high standards for the children. The classes are small about 10 children on average. They have, interschoolastic sports, band, computer lab, Spanish afterschool care and many other things you would only expect at a much larger school. I am very pleased to have him attend here.

I have gone to this school for three consecutive years and I have to say that it has definitely benefitted me. The teachers are the best thing about the school; they dedicate their services full time to help further educate not only academically, but also spiritually through Jesus Christ, our Lord. The extracurricular activities are rather limited, especially since their are not enough students who want to participate on the teams! Boys and girls can participate in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and track. There is also a school band for those who are interested in music. (They play really cool songs!) There is plenty of parental involvement in the school. In fact, most of the parents are on the school board and have made many needed changes this school year in things that we were obviously lacking in last year. This school is definitely worth it!

St Matthew's best asset is that it is a true family school. The teachers and staff honestly know, care about, and pray for each child in their classrooms. Parent support and volunteerism is outstanding. Long term teachers who believe education is their life work. Extracurriculars included band, soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, boy scouts, cheerleading. Foreign language, art, music and computer class are required at each grade level. School is Full-day Kindergarten through 8th.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
