I am just finishing my freshman year at MAA and i absolutely loved it!!! I can't wait to come back next year! The teachers are great and are always there when you have a question. They will come early before school and stay after at anytime if a student needs help.

Mt. Assisi Academy prepares girls for college and for a life long learning experience. Franciscan values are instilled in the girls. These values will provide them with guidance and support throughout their lives.

I have the pleasure of working at Mount Assisi Academy. I have worked at other Catholic Schools and it does not begin to compare to Mount Assisi. MAA instills confidence and morality in the girls. What makes Mt. Assisi unique to other schools is that we believe that every girl should be involved and active in sports or clubs during the "crucial teenage years." We believe that having an active student makes for a well-rounded young adult. Our BEAUTIFUL campus is breathtaking and safely tucked away in Lemont, IL. all of our teams practice on 60 acres of land! We truly are a family here. We have some young and new staff and faculty this year and we are looking forward to all the exciting changes that will be in place for the 2012-13 school year!

I wanted a place where my daughters could excel socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically. Mt. Assisi allows them to do just that. They are challenged and supported and have grown into leaders who are not afraid to speak their mind or the truth. We have had a "drama free" four years here, and I attribute it to the welcoming and enriching environment at Mt. Assisi.

My daughter wanted a high school that was not too large but had a lot to offer. Mt Assisi was a perfect fit. Everyone knows everyone and there is no drama. The administration is awesome too and has assisted us in many differnt ways.

Mount Assisi is a great place to go to school, but I wouldn't reccomend it for people who are serious about following a career in either math or science. There is basically no qualified science department (except Dr. Ross) and if you're not in honors math you're treated like you have a learning disability. Another serious problem with the curriculum is the Academic Track (or average classes). Many of the classes (especially underclassmen English) are extremely dumbed down. Senior English with Ms. Dargis is a total joke. AP English with Ms. Egdorf is a good class, but her sophomore class is horrible. All of Ms. Kane's classes are very good, though. So, basically, if you're really serious about learning and being prepared when you get to college, don't come to Mount Assisi.

While Mt. Assisi may be a good school for some girls, it is not a good choice for girls who are serious about academics. After graduating and going on to a pretty good four year university, i was way way behind my fellow students. To say Mt. Assisi prepared me for college is a joke. The sciene department is completely ridiculous. The only area I think I was adequately prepared in was in English, and that being only because I took AP english my senior year. To get any sort of academic preparation out of Mt. Assisi the student really has to push themselves, and take all honors classes, which are probably on par with regular classes at most public highschools. Case in point, dont go here if you actually want to excell in college or at least be competitive with other students!!!

Great school! It's small and every student really gets personalized attention.

I just graduated from 'MAA' and I absloutely loved it. I went to public schools for most of my life and in my Sophomore year of High School I decided to go to a smaller school because I wasn't learning too much at my old school. Mount Assisi is a great school filled with wonderful people from the teachers and students to the bus drivers and the other faculty. Its just an all around amazing school. Plus you can't beat the view from the top of the hill!
