Lockport Township HS teachers, guidance, and administration should be ashamed at the disrepect the have shown to parents and students alike! The LTHS motto is "Students should be allowed to fail". Nice, real nice? Very poor communication with parents and many requests to assist my child were unanswered. LTHS on NCLB probation for two years in a row! Has to offer students school choice, yeah right! Hasn't found a school to take us - What about LWay new school? I've got a house I'll sell you, please someone buy my house!
They need the money because they are overcrowded and can't pass a referendum to build another school.
LTHS offers a wide variety of athletics, clubs and after school organizations for students to participate in. My children are currently going there and I feel they are receiving a very good education even thou they are experiencing overcrowding. I'm an LTHS alum and I'm proud to say that all my children will be as well.
LTHS continually updates their technology and increases students' access to it. They are also a leader in athletics, and have many clubs and student organizations for students to become involved in. LTHS offers a wide array of Advanced Placement and Honors classes, as well as trade-centered curriculum. As a LTHS alum, I am very grateful for my experience and hope to teach there soon.
It is a great school. But it is becoming way to crowded.
I feel this is one of the better schools around this area.
As a parent of a LTHS student I can say that I am completely comfortable sending my child to school there evry day. The staff seem to really care about the students. There are extra-curricular activities to fit every student and the sports teams are well coached.
Lockport Township High School both East Campus and Central Campus are both wonderful places to be. Much is expected of you as a student and respect of everyone is the number one goal of staff and faculty. Lockport's schools house state of the art technology, which other disticts don't have and offer a large amount of different activities and events for the students and faculty. I would highly consider sending a child to this school.
I had some wonderful teachers here but the school needs to move into the new age. There are many issues here that need to be addressed by students and teachers alike.
I was a student at Lockport from 1993-97. I highly recommend this school to any parent looking to give their a child the foundations required to be a hardworking, knowlegeable, and responsible citizen. The teachers, coaches, and staff at LTHS have high expectations for students and settle for nothing less than 'your best effort'. I attribute much of my current successes in life to them and I am forever grateful.
