The teachers and curriculum is great. But the principle needs to learn to speak to parents like their adults and not one of her students.

The school and staff are great when it comes to education, activities and safety. I wish that Kindergarten was all day like other districts. There is a problem with communication when it comes to diciplinary action. Not finding out until 5-10 days after a problem is not good. Giving punishment before getting the whole story from everyone involved isn't right either, then not apologizing to the wrongly punished/accused child when it is found out. We absolutely loved my sons Kindergarten teacher. Could take pages giving her a wonderful review. We had issues with his 1st grade teacher. Not communicating well with students, not responding to parent questions in a timely mannor (or ignoring them all together), homework and newsletters home with many errors in them sometimes causing much confusion. Luckily my son still looks forward to 2nd grade.

I love everything about this school. My son is learning so much(sometimes I do think they push them a bit)I know he is safe at school. They are very careful and keep close tabs on the children when coming, and going. Walsh offers everything: Music, Art, Computer Labs, etc. My son is in k, and his older brother attended 1st grade at Walsh. We are very fortunate here in dist 92. We have the best teachers. Keep up the good work!

We just moved here from a Chicago Public Elementary School, and I am just loving this. My son actually says he had a 'good' day, and everything just seems so right-on the level for the age. It is very organized and the staff seems delightful. I am very pleased so far.

I really like this school. I have a child in K there.I really like his teacher and can tell she not only really about their education, but also about them as a person. She writes home notes to tell me if there is any sort of problems. When he had problems adjusting at first she consulted with me and together we worked through it. This school is very informative about what they are learning in school.

The office staff here is great. They answered all my question and phone calls. They always made you feel welcome. That you were not bugging them. The teachers my son had when let me know right away if there was a problem. I loved that they did thing during the year that parents could to come see. I wish they had parent teachers two times a year. So that I can make sure that my son is on track.
