This school has great potential. A good school needs students, staff, and families working as a team. This school needs more involved parents that will instill a love and respect for school and staff. Many students are trying their hardest but still have major academic deficiencies by middle school. With supportive parents to provide discipline for studying at home, students will improve. At some point, students have to take responsibility for their own education by studying and completing all class and homework assignments. The teachers can only do so much.

no stars for this school, I have never experience a school that no one knows what the other one is doing. The classes are so loud that the children that what to learn can't. Some of the teacher don't care, and some are very disrespectful. This school needs a lot of help. My son went one year and was depress the entire time he was there. I don't understand why this is the only school in this district. It does not give a parent any options to seen their child anywhere else unless it is a private school.

Just happy to be out of this district. I totally retract my previous review concerning how pleased I was with the Staff and the test scores. If this school can get any lower it will start digging. To much passing the buck here, no one is responsible for anything that goes and I continue to believe there is a lot of prejudice here.

In 2005-6 my pre-k student was at Fairmont elem. it was a great year the pre-k and kindergarten teachers were awesome. They took time out with each student which was great. He learned a lot that year. 2006-7 my daughter is at fairmont's pre-k. And still they're doing a great job preparing the students for kindergarten. I am very satisfied with Fairmont elementary.

The educators are constantly screaming at the children (who wants that?) and where is this art & music program? Or is that only offered to 'certain' students? I am sure that this all may be satisfactory for some parents who have never seen better or feel this is the best they their child can get, but I for one am not satisfied.

This school needs serious restructuring. If the principal and teachers would pay more attention to the kids education instead of their uniform code it would be a start. There have been 3 principals in the last 5 years. Except there are teachers that have been kept around for over 20 years that no longer enjoy teaching and SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TEACH. SOme of the teachers that have been at the school too long disrespect the students and curse at them. What type of learning environment is this. The worse is that there is NO OTHER SCHOOLS in the district to send your childrens to. This is the only choice for our children and it's not a good one at all.

Quality of acedemic programs: Abysmal. Availability of after school programs: None, unless it's sports related. Level of parent involvement: non-existent.
