A lot of the teachers have their own agendas and really take advantage of their captive audience. Only two of the core classes are separated by ability level, the rest of the classes are mixed levels. This has proven to be extremely frustrating for those who want to be challenged in a certain subject and are forced to 'stay with the rest of the class.' The activities are lacking and none of the students want to be involved. I'm sure there are some things I learned at this school, but the bad definitely outweighs the good.

This is a great school. I have watched my children grow and learn so much. The students are put into classes, and in core subjects their placement is based upon ability- which has been very helpful with my children. The teachers are great, the extra curriculuar activities are great. I teach in another district, and I cannot say enough positive things about this school.

I am a former student of this school. To be completely honest with you I learned more in 1-5 grade than I did in this school. The teachers insist on punishing the students instead of teaching them....

this is the worst school my child has ever been in um the athletics are strongly lacking.

I am very happy with Manhattan Jr. High School! The teachers & staff sincerely care about the students (beyond academic grades). Music, art, and sports, are excellent here, also.
