Kaneland Senior High School

Kaneland seems to be rapidly declining in their "quality" education. The cliques and society problems at this school seem to be taking the place of education. My daughter is a sophmore there and is doing very poorly. While there is the rare teacher who seems to care and show an interest in helping the students, most don't seem to care unless the student comes from a prominent community or sports family. This is NOT how their education should be based and Kaneland should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their school to get this bad. Since it begins in there elementary schools though, one should not be too surprised to find it in the high school and middle schools as well. We are pulling all three of our children out of Kaneland to go to another district or for homeschooling since our concerns have not been addressed and were laughed at.

Way below standard school teachers arent the best and don't work hard most classes my kids didnt have to try at all, the counselors are very poor and hard to contact. also the school is losing lots of money and gives exceptions to any students that have their parents call in to complain. overall an aweful school

Very poor Math program have 3 children attend and all 3 were not ready university level math. Have not seen any improvement or ways to help the students even after making my concerns known to the school

I think Kaneland High School is a great place to learn. The teachers for the most part are dedicated, and the new principal has brought in a new vibe and really is trying to improve the school. With Fox Valley Career Center located within the school, there is plenty of nontraditional course options for students.

This school is great! I just want to say that all the parents are wonderful! Whether it's sport competitions or choir, these guys are awesome! The teachers are great, and because it's a small school, your kids will make friends fast! Kaneland is a great place to grow up and be a kid.

Recently moved to this school district from Clear Lake, Texas. We were in a great school system which was recognized for academics, but Kaneland High School has met our expectations so far as a great learning and disciplined school also. The athletic programs are excellent with coaches who really care about their student athletes. The Women's athletic program is top notch and the coaches are excellent teachers of these young ladies.
