I went to this school a few years ago and I recieved a wonderful education. It is a school that cares about its students. There have been a few teachers that were not the greatest but other made up for it.

This school has very little recognition towards academic students, they say that their motto is: "Where learning is valued, and excellence is the standard." Their motto should be revised to say: "Where sports are valued, and academics are neglected." There are three events, throughout the school year to recognize athletes, these events span a whole week for each event. Where as they only have one event at night, where they give paper awards to students who have been on honor roll.

MCHS is doing well right now, still has far to go to compete with other high schools in the state. No journalism program, no debate club (don't tell your opinion you'll get squashed), not enough arts support, behind in languages(only Spanish, just started Chinese last year - bad teacher). Finances are in jeaopoardy and we're on the 'watch' list. We have far to go.

Their rules and regulations are out of date, just like their courses. They have way too many big bosses in one school. Do you really need a vice principal when you have a principal, dean, and a superintendent? How about 6 gym teachers? They don't recognize good kids either!
