Maryville Christian School is now a K-8 school. The first 8th grade class graduated last year. Now with170 students, representing over 50 area churches, it is truly becoming an established, metroeast Christian educational institution. With a challenging curriculum, and a growing list of course offerings and current methodologies, the school has expanded it's classrooms to include such technology as ELMO projectors, Promethean boards, SMART boards, a computer lab, 8th grade lab-based Science, and I could go on and on. If you are considering Christian education, please take the time to go to go-mcs.org, then schedule a tour to come visit. You will be impressed and will be eager to get your child or children into this program when have seen classrooms in action. Kids are actively engaged in their learning, from centers to Guided Reading groups to hands-on projects. Learning is active at MCS. WIth class sizes not over 16 for K-2 and 18 for 3-8, each child gets the attention they deserve and the warm, caring instruction from their teacher that you would come to expect from their school. Last year, the school achieved accreditation from the Illinois State Board of Education.

MCS provides academic excellence with a solid Christ based foundation. I am very happy with my son's education here and will defiantly be sending my younger kids here when they enter school.

MCS is a excellent school both academically and socially. The staff is well trained and qualified in addition to having Christian backgrounds. They truely love their students and want to see each and every one succeed. All the children in my child's class are reading above grade level. Class sized are not to exceed 16-18 which is very nice. Extra-curriculars are coming along as the school is only in it's fifth year but don't let that stop you from looking. The school boards and staffs expectations are very high for this schools success and it shows in every thing they do. As you will find in other reviews, I too cannot say enough great things about this school. LOOK!

MCS will be offering grades K - 7th for the 2009-2010 school year. I highly recommend MCS. You can't beat it! It's a very cute, loving environment with relatively small (but not too small) classes, and top notch academics. It is awesome that they are able to use Christian curriculum and they integrate many character teaching moments throughout the day. They truly know how to train our next generation. They also highly encourage and welcome parent involvement. I really can't say enough awesome things about this school.

This web shows that MCS offers grades K-2. We currently offer through 5th grade and will be adding 6th grade for 2008-2009.
