I chose Medinah Christian School for my son several years ago when he entered preschool and knew then that this was the right choice for our family. Solid Biblical teaching, small class size, caring teachers, and a committed administration were some of the qualities we loved about this school. I was so impressed with this school, in fact, that I joined the faculty and have both my children enrolled. I can tell you as a staff member and a parent that there is NOTHING failing about this school. I encourage you to schedule a tour so you can see for yourself how amazing and joyful our students are, how genuine and dedicated our teachers are, and how this could be a place where your child could thrive.

My daughter and I have been so BLESSED by this school! The teachers/faculty here genuinely care about my daughter and our family. They go "above and beyond the call," in my opinion. Medinah Christian School has been in the community for 40 + years and truly offers "A Quality Education, in a Christian Atmosphere," that strives for and instills "spiritual and academic excellence" in their students. We love the fact that the classes are smaller in size, as the individual attention that comes as a result of this, is priceless! Over and above academics, my daughter is learning so much MORE than she would at a public school-- like politeness, honesty, good deeds, Christian values, and a place where God and His Word are truly honored (and can be freely spoken about, I might add), which are important to our family. When she comes home from school, singing about God, Jesus, Moses, Noah, etc., I cannot TELL YOU just how it blesses my soul! Medinah Christian School also offers BOTH before and after care programs, which makes it easier for working parents with difficult schedules. Their tuition is also very reasonable, when compared others in the area. God is blessing this school!

Run don't walk away from this school! 4 different administrators in the last 4 years! Low test scores ... poor academics ... just concerned about money. The attendance has been declining over the past several years for a reason. If you don't want your child to have a quality education or instilled with Christian values then this is the school for you.

I been having my children attend for 12 years know and they have loved the school so much.We have very caring teachers, and other staff that assist with our children also a wonderful caring principal who loves each student in s special way and lives each staff member to help them grow to become better. Our school is rhe most caring because we will send meals to a family in need or what that need is. I can go on and on.

Medinah Christian School has been a huge blessing to our family. Great quality and challenging education in a Christian atmosphere where students are not only encouraged to grow academically but spiritually as well. The staff is kind and genuinely care about each students education and well being. We couldn't be happier!

This is such a positive environment for our children. You can tell that the teachers love their jobs and love our kids. I have all our children enrolled and they are all excelling in their education. The oldest ones are involved in educational opportunities outside of their school and my youngest has discovered that she loves reading thanks to her 1st grade teacher! This school is a awesome!

Quality education and loving teachers. We just brought in a new administrator who really knows how to lead and love on her staff. She has already been involved in our school for several years in teaching and serving capacities. I am looking forward to a great year under her leadership!

Failing school... declining enrillment... critical environment... especially in lower grades (pr-school - 1st grade). Poor academics especially in math and reading. Staff doesn't make even send their own children to school.

We have been attending Medinah Christian School for 13 years! Our children are taught by a loving and godly staff of teachers. God's Word is a part of everything the school sponsors including sports. We love it, and will miss it tremendously when our last child graduates.

I have chosen MCS for the all around quality education. This comes from solid academic excellence (superior SAT scores), truly caring and dedicated staff, and education that goes beyond the school books to include activities with other classes (science fair, field day, various school celebrations), service outings to the community (visiting nursing homes with crafts, planting flowers in town, class trips & programs for volunteers & military), extra cirricular activities (drama, sports, music, puppets, etc). This is a great school and I highly recommend you check it out - take a tour, look at the website. It is worth driving to and is also affordable when comparing tuition to other private schools. Lastly, I have found the administration responsive to change and suggestions, and very proactive in anticipating needs of our ever changing student body with each new generation.

My son is getting a GREAT education! The PS he would attend normally is 2 grades behind in the subjects covered. Definitely worth the price.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
