My kids started here when they were in 6th and 8th grades. The jr high wing was brand new. The teachers overall are good, but we have had issues with some. I found it odd that the school did not have a counselor, a nurse, or a decent library for the jr high kids, especially in light of the recent addition. They do however, have a brand new playground. I was disappointed that the band classes are not everyday as where we came from, the teacher is great, but overworked as others- choir, art, PE. The P.E. classes are too large for individual attention. The kitchen is too small to serve the many students in the school, and the portions get smaller as the day goes on-trying to stretch a buck. Good school for sports.

Metamora Grade School is the best at everything. The staff is caring and exhibits genuine concern for each and every student and the community. Our family has been active in this school district for over 20 years and my husband's family (9 children) all attended this school years ago. MGS taps the potential and challenges all students. Students are treated fairly and given an excellent education. MGS staff and board strive to keep the students on the cutting edge of technology and explore ways to make educating fun and beneficial for all students. Kudos to MGS!
