St. Andrew Catholic School

Our children attend St. Andrew School and we have been involved with the school for nine years. Our decision to send out children to St. Andrew has been the single best decision we have made as a family.

Both of my sons attended St. Andrew and the experience was fantastic. They both excelled in high school and college. You won't find a better or safer school in southern Illinois.

My child attended St. Andrew Catholic School from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I can honestly say that my money for the high cost of tuition was not well spent. After entrusting this school with my child's education, my child had to receive tutoring to catch up in the 3Rs (reading, writing, and math), when he got to high school. My son did not receive the best in academics and also had to endure being snubbed by other students from wealthy families.

Bullying is a major issue at this school. The rules seem to be based on which parents have the most political pull within the school. Also, the curriculum is very outdated, even when a new curriculum is purchased, much like going to school in the 60's or 70's.

Big bulling problem and the principal will not do any intervention. Parens seem to make up the rules. In diffinate need of leadership.

Saint Andrew Catholic Grade School is a wonderful, safe, grade school with with a rich tradition of academic excellence in a caring Christian environment. The experienced caring teaching staff is the best. At Saint Andrew School every student is able to participate in sports and all extracurricular activities. Graduates of the school excell at the high school and college level both academically and socially.

A great safe school with experienced and caring teachers without the public school discipline and violence problems. St. Andrew School provides academic excellence unmatched in other area private or public schools. All students are able to participate on sports teams or in extracurricular activites if they chose. Graduates of this school excell academically and socially at the high school and college level. My children, my wife, and I love Saint Andrew School and highly recommend this school to other parents.

Great community school. Kids know each other and care for each other. The academic standards are high yet teachers are caring. Small class size with well behaved children. I tried the local public schools and they did not have time to care for my child the way St. Andrew does. The school encourages parent involvement and gets it.

Good solid education and very low discipline problems. I tried local schools before changing. I am so happy I did.
