Academics are very good. Little to no sports programs with girls getting more choices than boys. There is a band program which is good, but not outstanding. Parental envolvement is, from what I have observed, not encouraged. The school is housed in a very, very old building owned by the Catholic church. It is musky and moldy and not at all sufficent for it's purpose.
The education system is the worst that i have ever saw in 30 years of education. The State of Illinois needs enter into the school system. This school system will become like Venice and Madison Illinois. We need teachers that want to help students and not just lecture. New Baden has gone down hill since Carl Bann retired from leading the school.
