I have been working at JFH for 6 years and I love it. The teachers, children, and parents are wonderful to work with. I love that JFH offers an accelerated math and reading program where most other programs don't. The small classroom sizes help make more children successful in their academics. JFH is family oriented and offers many different family events throughout the year. This is a GREAT elementary school!

My son attends Kindergarten at JFH and he has truly excelled, in part because of the small class size and the ability of Ms. Belcher to recognize and nurture the ability in each of her students. Because of his late August birthday, I was worried about my son being the youngest in his grade level, but being at JFH has helped him get used to "real school" and comfortable with the work and what is expected of him. JFH has been an excellent and affordable alternative to the CPS system.

I have a son and a daughter that attend the school,. The teachers(Ms M and Ms B) are amazing educators. The student /ratio is small enough for each child to receive the instruction they need to excel, I Love the fact that they have affordable before and after school care and even bus service to the local Chicago Public Schools, I recommend this school to everyone I know,

This is an excellent school!! My son has been attending JFH since he was three years old. The staff is wonderful and the classes are small and intimate. They also provide before and after school programs for working parents

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
