My son attended kindergarten at Moye and had a wonderful year there. We were very sad to have to move from the area. His teacher, Mrs. Dye was amazing. The entire staff appears to be highly trained. They all seem to really care for the students. The school building is fairly new, very clean and well kept. In my opinion, Moye, is truly a Great School!
There is one teacher who is very racist and I had serious nervous breakdown because of her. There are some really fair teachers who are loving and caring. I love the state of the art building but terrible drop off and pick up procedures. I hear some parents yelling at each other.
Excellent except for the drop off and pick up procedures
While Moye is a great school for the area, the district's curriculum is weak. There is no differentiation of intstruction which can be stifling to many students, and overwhelming to others. Gifted programs are lacking and underfunded. On the other hand, the special education program is very good. Most of the teachers are top notch!
I can't say enough good things about Moye Elementary! Initially I was nervous about how the teachers/staff would respond to my son who is, well, not exactly the easiest child to handle. He has some 'issues' but not quite an IEP kiddo. I was worried he would be living in the principals office and end up hating school. Not the case. The teachers have bent over backward to 'make things work for him' and the administration has as well. He loves school and is thriving under their caring guidance!
We are so fortunate to be a part of Moye Elementary. They have an excellent academic structure & character education program.
You will not find a better elementary education in the area. This school provides a top notch education to everyone. If you have special needs, are gifted or just an average student you will find what you need at this school. I can not praise it enough. It has turned my son into a kid who loves to go to school! That, in itself, is a big accomplishment.
We have gone through every grade at moye. The teachers are excellent and care about the kids. The administration works tirelessly to ensure Moye is #1. My kids love to go to school. The kids, teachers, parents and staff are the best! We also have a first rate music teacher!!!!
There is no discipline at cafeteria. It's terrible. They need more supervision.
