This is the best school in the area! We would not send our children to any other school. There is peace in our hearts as Parents to know that our children are in a safe, loving environment for the most hours of the day. They are very strong on academics and a big PLUS in this school is their commitment to follow through in teaching and modeling Christian values that we want our kids to learn. Our children are in full bloom, happy and thriving well here. We appreciate Southwest Chicago Christian School!

We love Southwest Chicago Christian for so many things, the Christian environment, the outstanding academics, but mostly because of the wonderful teachers and staff! They love and care for our kids as if they were their own. There is no price for peace of mind in knowing that your children are receiving a quality education in a genuine Christian environment!

As a graduate of SWCS there was no question as to where to send our son when he started kindergarten. We have not regretted our decision. The love and Christian spirit of the teachers is outstanding. He comes home everyday with some example of what our school stands for...a christ centered education.

I grew up in this school, and now I am watching a second generation go there also. It has made me the person that I am today. I love the small enviroment for teaching in that each child recieves the attention that they need. The parents play a huge part in this school and that is why we have the success we do.

Christ centered education with caring teachers and administration! I attended this school in the 1970's and wouldn't want my kids attending any other school. Scripture tells us - "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6. I think that says it all!

The "family" at Southwest Chicago Christian School in Oak Lawn is as important as the high standard of education and outstanding extra curricular. The teachers know and love and pray for our children alongside teaching them. I would send my children to no other school.

I love the diversity at SCCS Oak Lawn. Families come from many different geographical areas, different denominations, and different backgrounds, yet all share a love of Jesus Christ and a belief that all areas of life belong to God. The children are educated, not just to make a difference in God's world in the future, but in recognition that even at a young age, they are part of God's Kingdom and have something to contribute.

It is so important to me to have my children at a place where they continue to learn and study all the ideas that we have at home - all our values and Christianity is reinforced. They learn to grown in Christ in all aspects of their education.

Great school with the best faculty I've ever met. It is apparent that these teachers love teaching, and that helps the kids love learning.

It is a very caring, christian school. Definitely the best school on the southwest side to send your child. Check it out. You'll love our principal and staff and will wind up enrolling your child at Southwest.

Our daughter is physically handicapped so we never thought we'd be able to send her to a private school without losing all the accomations necessary for her educational enhancement. The principal and staff have made our dream of a Christian education a reality with their unbelievable dedication to work with our daughter. Also the parent involvement opportunities and level of communication between school and home are amazing. We love this school!

The teachers and staff have done an outstanding job in instilling a love of learning in the children. My daughter wakes up every morning wanting to go to school. The teachers are the best and they genuinely love each child.

I love Chicago Southwest Christian School for many reasons. The students, parents, and staff are nice, friendly, and God-fearing people. My daughter has developed some very meaningful friendships at school. My daughter is absolutely stimulated and excited by what she is learning. She loves the variety of subject matters she is exposed to such as music, Spanish, math, science, history, computer class, library, art, etc.... She also loves the after school activities and looks forward to returning to school each day.

My husband and I enrolled our son for his first year at SWCCS as he was starting 4th grade. The love and care this school provides to him and to us is remarkable. We appreciate the time the Teachers spend helping the students to learn everything that God has given to us on this earth. Our son is so happy to be going there and so are we. We are truly blessed that we can send him there.

I love our school because it is a school where children are taught the basics of education in the light of God's word. Also, all children are treated as special.

As a former special education teacher, a current administrator in another school, and a parent of three in this school, I simply would not send my children anywhere else. The principal sets the tone for the whole school by being both responsible and caring. He is genuinely interested in every family (not just every child) attending SCCS. The teachers are simply awesome. They care for each student as if they were there own and they do what they must to see every student succeed. The program is structured to develop a learning community that focuses on academics and discipleship equally and strives to see students excel in both. As a private school, there is a financial commitment to having your children enrolled but SCCS falls well in the middle of the range of private schools in the area - especially with some of the tuition assistance programs available. If you're looking for the best education available for your whole child, this is definitely the school for you.

I have four kids that attend Southwest Christian that have loved the school, especially the teachers who care a lot for their students. It is an excellent Christian environment with lockers without locks, with parents that volunteer in classrooms, at lunch, running fundraisers and creating community. Kids are not perfect but core values are instilled from Preschool through High School and consistently reinforced that God created the Earth and everything in it through Science, Math, Reading, Physical Education, Music, Band, Art, Language and in before and after school programs. Curriculum is challenging. There is assistance at the school for students with special needs. Oak Lawn public school has been helpful with sending a speech therapist to the Chrisian school so my family has benefitted from their services.

Our son is a better person having attended first grade at SCCS. He developed meaningful relationships with both teachers and students, inside and outside of his classroom. The school is more than an excellent, Christian education; it is a community where children mature into adults with a purpose. We love SCCS and will send our other children there as well. The tuition seemed like a lot of money at first, but it was a simple matter of prioritizing our funds (no cable TV, bag our lunches, saving money, etc.). But of all the things we spend our money on, SCCS education is by far our greatest investment.

As Parent, I love this school. My child has been in this school for two years and he absolutely loves it. He is already making plans to attend the high school. He appreciates the supportive & christian atmosphere. It took us a while to find the right fit. He has attended 3 schools prior to this one. But I think this is our last move.

If you want to coast through a school year this is not the place. The school will make your Children step up and be responsible as a student, and a member of a tight knit family. It is great to see the diversity, and how well all children accept each other for who they are. Curriculum challenges, but the staff are all there for the kids

It is great to be part of a school system that cares so much about its students, their academic achievement, and their personal walk through life. The staff is extremely caring and dedicated to creating a fun and challenging learning environment that prepares students academically for high school and, more importantly, it prepares them morally and spiritually for their lives. The programs offered through sports, art, band and choir are rewarding, exciting, and fun. I look forward to continuing to be a part of this staff and this caring community in the future.

My children have attended SCCS for four years. The curriculum is advanced, the teachers give one on one attention, the phys ed, art and music curriculum is relevant and up to date. There is a high Christian model followed, which reinforces character and behavior expectations - I like that.

My children have been attending SCCS for 3 years and it has been one of the most positive influences on their lives. The staff is so loving and caring for each child and the academics border on a gifted program. I could not be happier with this school.
