I love this school they work very well with the kids through all their needs and give great support!
School District 48 as a whole is wonderful! As for Stella May Swartz, you would be hard pressed to find anyone there that doesn't love these kids. From the moment you walk in the door and meet our secretary Mrs. Marciniak you feel it! Our principal Mr. Jackson, the teachers, our nurses, our custodian and even our bus drivers love what they do! Our children are excepted to work hard, and behave properly. The District promotes the 'Character Counts' principles. This teaches respect of both others and property, among other things. When discipline is required our principal, Mr. Jackson handles it fairly and with positive reinforcement. Please don't misunderstand me. No school is perfect. It's just that I couldn't imagine my daughter going to any other school district. So, if you're considering Swartz/District 48 don't wait. Because I think it can't be beat!
