Millburn Central is an excellent all-around school even with the current trying financial times. Parents are organizing into Volunteer groups to help out teachers with larger classes this year. A lot of changes to adjust to, but the school continues to put the primary focus on the children and to provide special support for all types of needs - from disabilities to gifted. My son says it is his home away from home and he is thriving.
I have two children that attend Millburn Central and they are very happy and enjoy school. My younger child appeared to have ADHD in 2nd grade. We had him evaluated and they determined a behavior disorder. The Millburn teachers set up IEP classes for him and now he is doing great and he loves school. I think the teachers and staff have done a tremendous job in helping him attain his goals and keeping him on track for his grade level. Thank you Millburn Central!
Great small class sizes. Small school family enviornment. Great parent participation. Curriculum & teachers are excellent
I think that Millburn has outstanding involvement in everything that they do. they pay special attention to every child, and they make sure that every child has the best education possible. we have just recently moved into the district and all of the kids were very nice to my children, and welcomed them in like it was their home. I am so excited to see what lies ahead for my children's future.
We've had children at Millburn for the past 8 years, and we've been extremely pleased with the education they have received. The teachers are caring, dedicated, professional, and generally high-quality. Over the years, our children have been in speech or occupational therapy at Millburn, as well as in the gifted (AIM) program, and we are have always been impressed by the teachers' willingness to meet each child where he is, and challenge him to grow from that point. The gifted (AIM) program includes full-replacement classes in reading and math, rather than pull-out enrichment, so that a 5th-grade AIM math student learns 6th-grade math. Good extra-curriculars -- especially in foreign-language and art -- award-winning band program, & very active PTO, all make for a great school. The superintendent and the school board are proactive in planning for the future, and excel at getting the most from every tax dollar. Highly recommended!
Academic programs are great. I believe my child has learned a lot since kindergarten. Would recommend this school as on of the best.
Great school - good teacher student ratio.
Great school, I like the student/teacher ratio and after school programmes. The teachers pay a lot attention to kids.
Millburn is a wonderful school. My son is gifted and the school worked with me to make sure he was appropriately challenged. We could not be happier with the teachers and administration. Everyone we have had contact with has been helpful and responsive. Great PTO and parent support of school as well. After two years at Millburn we are being relocated and we will miss it dearly!
This school is committed to excellence in achievement and individual potential in a nurturing environment. Teachers and staff are very dedicated and caring. Quality of academic programs is excellent. High level of parent involvement and doing well to serve the growing population.
