I like the school. I have noticed a great deal of 'gossip' within the office and administration. The teachers leave and mobility is high. My child has had a new teacher from 1-5th grade. This year my child finally has an experienced teacher! I like the Pre-Kg to 8th grade school.

illinois's staff definitely knows how to discipline the students. they have an inspirational choir. their flaws include not many activities for middle school and careless middle school teachers. not many fieldtrips either. it does have grades pre-k through the 8th grade. if you're taking spanish in middle school u can't take any other classes for the rest of the year. but i think overall it does not give enough attention to the middle school students

It seems that the administration changes each year. Many of the good teachers have left, however there are still a few hanging in there. The principal talks down to the parents. What happened to this wonderful school?

My daughter is a middle school student at Illinois and I couldn't be happier about the experience she is having there. She is thriving academically and socially. Her teachers constantly provide her with opportunities to spread her wings and challenge herself. My daughter is very shy. Illinois' size and environment are just right for her personality and temperament. The principal and her staff are simply excellent. The principal provides strong leadership and sets a wonderful example for staff and students. The teaching staff is strong and dedicated. The school offers an impressive pre-k program as well. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the life of the school. In addition to strong academic programming, the school offers programs designed to enrich the lives of the students, including ballroom dancing, chess club, music and intramural sports. Illinois is a top flight school. I have nothing but good things to say about Illinois.

There are art and music programs available on a limited basis, but there are very few extracurricular activities. Most extracurricular activities are in the arts areas. Parental involvement is above average, but as with any school, could stand improvement. Principal Walker is very involved and aware.

Ok school, 4yr old son is in PK; however preparation for K is not where I think it should be. This is a good school to develop maturity and social skills that you child will need for K.

This school used to be wonderful. In 4 yrs. there will have been 4 principals, 2 vice principals and we lost 11 teachers last year. There is no 'recess' outside anymore & kids are not always allowed to talk or eat during lunch. They are not always supervised either. This 'Administration' thinks they have made great strides but in reality they have not. I would not recommend this school.

Illinios extracurricular activities are very poor becuase my son had to go to another school just to try out for basketball. Some of the teachers there are racist and automatically jumped to the conclusion that my well-behaved son was in a gang, which was very disrepectful. The parent involvement is fair but somebody should do something about space in the hallways becuase there are 3 grades jammed into one small hallway. Many students are late due to the fact that they have 3 minutes to get from one class to another. Illinois school is not very good because many students come for 1 year at this school and then leave each year.
