This is a brand new school in which the teachers love the students and the principle is a 2009 Golden Apple recipiant. The community is very involved and the school is endorsing higher education in academics to be eligiable in ANY extracurricular activity. Safety, health, education, and extracurriculars are at the forefront of PHS.
Pecatonica High School is a beautiful building with high quality teachers and small class sizes. Though sports are important, the focus is always put on academics first. Best classes to take -- art forensic science blacksmithing introduction to college rhetoric
Alot of hiring within involved in this school--family etc. Also hire many graduates back to this school. Need to bring back corporal punishment to get the classrooms back in control - the teachers need to take a firm stand from the beginning of the year. Taxes too high! School doesn't like voter input-- they want to do it their way! Sports are the priority at this school not grades when all you need is a 1.0 to play.
