Norwood school district states they have higher education when yet their won education grading standards are lower than any of those in the surrounding area. Communication with the school officials and the treachers is extremely poor. I have a son who has problems and I placed calls, sent notes and it took 3 notes, 8 phone messages over 8 school days, and a visit to the school before I was able to meet with anyone from the school.
This school lacks the leadership that most schools in the area have. There is a grading program that is lower than the average, this is a school that rewards its students for under achieving. The school grading scale is 90% A / 80% B / 70% C 60% D / below 59% F.... Thos does not match up with any of the othe schools in the district. Norwood also does not have an internet grade book that the parents can help manage thier education. The school does have plenty of sports and music programs. This is the plus. The teachers are not the best, and sometimes are not qualified to teach the subjects that the are teaching.
