Academically the school is very good. Howerver, the children in Peotone are brutal with regard to teasing and name calling. The school does very little to correct the problem stating that they need witnesses to the bad behavior before they can repremand the other kids. I am moving to another town to get my children out of this school district before they are ruined.

I have one son here and a second son starting this year. We like the staff and the sports available to the kids. Good small town feel.

We moved from a very large junior high and our daughter absolutely loved attending this school. Her teachers were wonderful and she thought this school had more down to earth kids. There weren't as many 'cliques' as her old junior high. Everyone seems to get along with everyone and she made great friends and was accepted very easily.

If your child requires any special services including I.E.P, I would not send them here. They offer almost no help. We came from New Lenox where special services were wonderful. They did all necessary to help special needs children learn and pass.

There is a need for classes and extracurricular activities for kids that have an interest in art, theater, and music.

The bus ride is much too long, an hour. The amount of homework make you wonder what the kids do at school all day. I've been impressed with most of the staff. My feeling is the staff is handcuffed by state and federal rules. They need to be given more freedom.

Not many people could be pleased with the scores at this school. They have a great deal of work cut out for them if they plan to be competitive with other schools. The idea behind these students riding the bus with high school and elementary students is horrible especially when the principal does not follow through with disciplining his students for verbally and physically attacking elem. Students. Let's put academics first
