Mrs.Redshaw is an excellent principal that has a kind heart and firm and effective leadership for the kids at Northview. I wasn't impressed with the dual teacher classroom but the education was still there. Both my son (special needs) and my daughter love(d) Northview and the entire staff. As an involved parent with my kids' educational careers, I was very impressed with many of the staff's involvement and dedication to the kids' studies and overall school experience. What's odd is that the younger elementary school -Roosevelt- does not have the same professionalism and respect for the children that Northview displays and that baffles me. Same admin and totally opposite ends of the spectrum with quality. Northview is an asset to the State of Illinois public educational system.
I say thank you, MaryAnn Redshaw, Judie Fisher (Wrobo) and the teaching staff and therapy staff involved with my son. You all were just outstanding and so professional! You really displayed how a school should treat a student and you restored my faith in public education as well as in the community of Peru. Thank you!
