Walkers Grove has pushed our son along for the past 4 years. He will go to Middle School next year and won't be their 'problem' anymore. We keep asking for additional help for him as he a special needs student, not low functioning enough for Special Ed., but definitely behind. Plainfield School District is overall insensitive and unprepared to deal with students that have learning disabilities. The enormous amount of staff and dead weight in this district is astonishing. If you have a smart, driven, motivated child, you won't have any problems and therefore a 4 star or higher is what Plainfield would get. Otherwise, 2 star is even too high of a grade for this district. If the housing market wasn't as awful as it is, I would consider moving to another better prepared school district. Plainfield Schools are not what realtors make you think they are.

My son attends WG and I'm a little disappointed in the student teacher ratio. The younger levels don't get the attention they need with crowded classrooms. Their Art program is almost non-existent. My son learned more about Art in his Pre-K class than he does now. I moved into the area because I thought this was a good school, I'm starting to second guess my decision. At one time Plainfield had better schools than Naperville, why have they fallen to lower levels? Perhaps there should be a shake up at the District level since that is where most of the decisions are made! We pay the same taxes as Dist.204 we deserve the same level of excellence!

This is a great school with outstanding teachers and staff committed to excellence in education. It is also right in the neighborhood! We are happy with our decision to send our son to Walker's Grove Elementary.

It is a great school. Children are academically challenged. This year they have new assigned days for art, music and gym which gives all the students equal chance to attend these classes. Parental involvement is great here. PTO has a big share at this school.
