There is a consistent lack of communication between school and parents. The classes are limited in scope and sequence. Except for a couple outstanding teachers, the teachers are non-communicative for the most part. Lack of leadership definitely hinders all in this school. If I had resources, I would definitely relocate.
The staff lack sufficient supplies and technology. Very disappointing. This district is concerned with money saving more than the kids. They definitely do not have much to encourage creativity or character. Not much in the way of field experiences. Special education services are almost non-existent with a one-size-fits-all attitude.
First year in public school, and boy am I pleasantly surprised. This school is constantly looking to improve on what's wrong. They have young new teachers with innovative ways to get the kids motivated!! The sports teams are so much fun, and not as focused just on winning, but also that all the kids are involved!! If your looking for a good , safe school enviroment in the area....this district is working hard to keep the kids first.
I love this school. It is by far the best public school in the Rockford area. My kids are safe, well-taught, and don't have the pressures that some of the other schools have.
The teachers in our district are fun to be around each day, the principals are very understanding, the coaches for sports are willing to work with all the kids and pump up the kids making them feel good about themselves and are very knowledgeable. All together, North Boone Middle School is a great school!!!
i am a student in 7 grade, i have been in this district since 2 grade. I love going to school every day! The teachers are the best in the world, everybody is so nice.we went from a 5 minute lunch(really 20 minutes but you stood in line so long it seemed like 5) to a 40 minute lunch period. its awesome! you can spend more time with your friends. we get extra classes like keyboarding, art, health, drama, and study skills. i'm so excited about 8 grade we can take french, spanish, macheinary, art, keyboarding, and FFA(future farmers of america).I love this school so much and the teachers in it.
