Love the Schools in this district! Excellent teachers and staff. Every teacher my children have is very open to parent involvement and communication. The schools are clean and provide a good learning environment. I would recommend to anyone moving to this area. As always, schools need more parents, grandparents, and community involvement.

Ramsey School is not prepared to always provide appropriate education to children with learning disabilities. As a parent of a child with a disability, we were not guided by teachers on testing methods etc, I actually had to get all my information from a close friend in another state. She told me what to do (request an eval for an LD) and it has been downhill from there. We look to teachers, and our schools, to be 'experts' in their field and guide us when our children are having difficulties. It is best to catch learning disabilities when the child first learns reading: research shows that those kids have THE best chance at success. We were not afforded that opportunity. They need to take a more active role in education of their staff and getting the appropriate education for those children who need it.

Ramsey Elementary school lacks in programs for children that have difficulty in reading, in grades 2 and up. The teachers from third grade on are not prepared to have a slow learner, nor is the class size reasonable for a slow learner. We are preparing to take our son to Sylvan learning center over the summer for a whopping $3,500.00. We feel the Ramsey school system has let our child (and many others)Down!
