Ramsey is a great school for children to have an advantage in education. The teachers are very understanding and compasionate. They will do theri best to help every child succeed. The student teacher ratio enables teachers to be more attentive to each student and help them on a better lever than some who have to share their attention with thirty students or more in surrounding communities.
Academically, I think this school is up to par with other communities of same size. Great, caring teachers, most of whom work on very low pay. The administration is overpaid for a community our size. Girls basketball has been eliminated. This makes me think negatively of our school board and administration. The level of parent involvement depends on the activity. Overall, if I had my choice I'd move my kids to a bigger school with more activities available like track and field, girls basketball, golf, soccer and football. I love where I live, but I don't agree with the school board's decisions of the way our school is being run. It's frustrating.
