I am in 8th grade. I aboslutely love Nippersink Middle School! The teachers are great at teaching and are really nice to the kids. The principles are very forceful and disipline is strict, so we rarely have any issue at our school. If there is an issue, it's takin care of right away. The specail education classes are great to, and all the kids are friends with them. Also, the principles set up what they call a 'safety box' where kids can put unsigned notes in there about things that are bothering them, like bullies, or even home problems. It has a great learning enviornment and I would recommend this school to anyone!!

I am a 7th grade student at NMS, and I think this school is great. Yes, their sports fees are pretty intense, but thats about one of the few flaws I can see. I like the learning environment, and the teachers are pretty good. So I do recommend this school to families.

If you have a child that needs special help or attention, this is not the school for you. If you have a semi perfect child, they'll be fine.

I have been teaching in our district for many years. Although the district has financial challanges as all districts face, the teachers in our school are committed to the profession and care about the students and are very passionate about the subjects they teach. Although, the financial burden of our sports and activities programs lays on the families at this time, our school still provides many opportunities for extracurricular and intramural activities for students to be involved outside the classroom. Parents are very involved in our school community and help to provide funding for assemblies and many special events. You can always count on parent volunteers to help when needed. Overall, this is a great place to learn and grow.

The school has taken so much from the children and there learning. There are approx. 40 children per class. The sports programs fees are outrageous, and band is no longer available to the students. However, I do beleive that most parents are quite involved with their childs education. I just do not beleive the school system is. I have heard nothing good about the principal from many parents. Those that I have spoken to have nothing but conflicts when dealing with issues. If they are speaking to the parents in this manner how are they speaking to our children.

I am a student at NMS. The teachers are pretty good and so is the parent involvement. There are lots of sports opportunities. I am sad, though, that there is no more music or Spanish. I am also a little worried because recently the expiration dates on the yogurt that was part of hot lunch were blacked out with permanent marker so that we could not read them.

Nippersink is a great school. It teaches me stuff I never thought I would learn. All the teachers are nice and the assemblys are fun. Over all Nippersink Middle school is a great school and this is my 8th grade year.

The school, and the entire district is experiencing some severe problems. I feel that these problems are not due to things happening within the school itself (principals, teacher quality, safety, etc...) but more the things happening as a rusult of poor management decisions made by the school board. It is not uncommon for districts to have financial difficulties right now, but this is the result of a pressure that trickles down from the top; not from the bottom up! The condition that our district is in has been magnified however by the office of our superintendent, and the school board who seems very eager to offer him support. I feel that this board is not taking into account the best interest of the community, and public action should be taken against them. Please share your thoughts with others!

This school is excellent! My kids are learning at the proper rate and they are safe. Class sizes are small so extra attention is giving. The teachers at this school go above and beyond! If you have a child with special needs then this is the school for you. The special education staff is out of this world.
